ANTONIO CHEVEZ: From Myth to Reality

Antonio Chevez was born in the eastern region of EL Salvador, Central America and is best known by his people as an indigenous representative of the Maya-Lenca, a rural health worker and native artist. He was displaced by the Civil War in the early 1980’s, where his El Tihuilote village was destroyed, forcing him to become a refugee at the age of nine.

Antonio has a background in indigenous health, community health education, applied health science, counselling and neuromarkting. He has an in-depth knowledge of the oral tradition of his indigenous nation and specialises in applying insights from neuroscience and integrating them with traditional indigenous methodologies to build sustainable teams and communities.
